Connecticut

The small state with huge golf opportunities, Connecticut’s natural terrain is well suited to golf courses, and its proximity to New York City makes it a favorite in the entire region. Perhaps these may begin to explain why the state has a hundred cities with golf courses, many of them offering up multiple course selections each. From Avon to Woodstock and everywhere in between, Connecticut is teeing off!

When one considers a golf vacation, golfing comes first, but the comfort, conveniences, and other factors also come into play. Connecticut’s small towns interspersed throughout the woodlands state each have their own charms. As restaurants go, one can find everything from a GAC or a PB&J to sautéed Maine Lobster so exquisitely delicious that you may lose track of all else while eating it. Steeped in both culture and tradition, the state has a rich heritage and history to explore and experience as well. First time visitors to the state are often caught off-guard at how small-town and rural the area feels, and how clean and natural an image the landscape manages to maintain.

All in all, Connecticut makes a wonderful golf vacation destination, and an opportunity to experience the richness of a seaboard state. One part of the joy of playing golf is getting out into nature. Connecticut’s picturesque fairways and greens give way to the arboreal beauty, a rich green sylvan wonderland during spring and summer, a riot of colours in the fall. Put the Constitution State on your list of Must Play golfing vacation destinations. We’re certain you’ll be glad you did!
