Georgia

What do Bobby Jones, the Savannah Golf Club, and the Masters® have in common? Georgia is home to them all! Georgia’s southern hospitality can be found in mountains, coastlines and rolling hills, offering up some of the most diverse, beautiful and challenging courses to be found anywhere.

Visitors to Atlanta and the central region will most certainly want to play a full 18 holes at the Augusta National Golf Club. The Ritz Carlton Lodge, Reynolds Plantation offers posh accommodations and 81 holes designed by the cream of the crop: Jones, Nicklaus, Fazio and Cupp. Atlantic coast visitors will be thrilled with Sea Island and its three courses, Plantation, Retreat and Seaside. In the famous Blue Ridge Mountains to the north, you’ll find the Brasstown Valley Golf Club is plenty enough challenge for even the most seasoned of golfers. At least forty-six cities have golf courses in the Historic South region of Georgia alone, and a number of them have several courses each At all points of the compass, Georgia is one peach of a golf vacation destination!

This picturesque and richly diverse state provides a cornucopia of courses in a richness seldom found in one place. Moderate temperatures in most locations mean year-round play at most of their several hundred courses. Georgia is indeed a worthy golf vacation destination, but moreover, it’s one of the few places where you can integrate a historical sightseeing tour into that trip. The quality of the courses and the extremely reasonable rates come with a huge helping of pecan and peach pie and a whopping dollop of Southern hospitality sure to keep you coming back again and again!
