Louisiana

Louisiana

Like to be excited? Louisiana’s Carter Plantation, a member of the Louisiana Audubon Golf Trail, earned a slope rating of the full 140 on a course rating of 74.4, coming off of the Championship tees – and it’s a daily fee course anyone can play! This first course from David Toms was recipient of Golf Magazine’s "Top 10 Courses You Can Play" in 2004. At over 7000 yards, this impressive, exhilarating course makes its way through three terrains which are uniquely Louisiana: flat Oak plains, Cypress Wetlands, and pine timber forest lands. Dedicated to environmental protection, Carter Plantation offers up a course we can be very proud of, a truly exciting time for visitors and locals alike.

Louisiana seems to have ended up with a disproportional number of courses that make the Top 100 in the nation... and to make things even better; the Pelican State’s weather means a year-round golf vacation destination sure to please.
