Killington - Rutland - Sugarbush

Killington, Vermont, has beautiful spring, summer and fall golfing weather, with summertime average highs in July and August usually staying around 75 degrees. It features a course that Golf Digest called the top public course in Vermont, and offers golfers rolling, lush courses and beautiful wooded surrounding areas for a great Vermont golfing experience. Course Descriptions – The Green Mountain National Golf Course is an 18-hole course with a yardage of over 6,500 and a par of 71. This is a municipal course, and was named as the #1 public course in Vermont by Golf Digest in May of 2009. It's only a few minutes from the Killington Resort, which makes it convenient for those on golf vacations, and it's a challenging course, set next to the Green Mountains with a panoramic view of the surrounding area from the 16th hole.

The Killington Golf Course is a public 18-hole course designed by Geoffrey Cornish that requires proper golf clothing in their dress code. It's a par 72 course with a yardage of over 6,100 and a 2,000 foot elevation. There's a driving range offering 14 stations and a putting green and practice bunker that's 12,000 square feet. You can take golf lessons at the Mountain Golf School to get one-on-one instruction in your chip shot, putting and more. The surrounding area offers another 10 courses that are available as both public and semi-private courses. Some additional public courses in and around Killington and Rutland are: Rutland Country Club, Stonehedge Golf Course, Proctor-Pittsford Country Club, Prospect Pointe Country Club, Neshobe Golf Club, Lake St. Catherine Country Club, Woodstock Inn & Country Club.
