Virginia

Virginia isn’t just for lovers anymore! Over 190 cities in the Mother State have golf courses in them, more than 230 total courses to choose from. What’s more is that Virginia’s location makes for year-round play! It doesn’t matter if you’re a scratch player or have never held a club in your life, the beauty, richness and diversity of courses and tees makes Virginia a fantastic golf vacation destination for everyone. Let’s take a look at some of the courses the Old Dominion State has to offer.

As might be expected, Arlington's best courses are either on private country clubs or private military facilities. Contractors and other business travelers may be invited as guests to those fine courses, but there’s still quality for the rest of us. The municipal courses of Langston and Rock Creek Golf Courses are close to DC, offer reasonable fees, and worthy challenges. East Potomac Golf Course has shots with the White House and Washington National Monuments in the background. Well rated and appreciated, these three courses are located within national parks, and open nearly year-round. East Potomac has a headed covered driving range which has earned national recognition.

All across this historical First Colony state, you’ll find golf courses to soothe and challenge. Beginners and experts alike will enjoy the experience. If you haven’t yet, it’s well past time that you experienced golfing in Virginia. After all, Virginia IS for golf lovers !
